4、
Joinz is an intriguing puzzler that mixes together elements from other classic games to create something pretty interesting.

It's out right now on the App Store if you fancy giving it a go.

It's been put together by Noodlecake Games, and sees you sliding blocks around a grid.

You need to squish these blocks together to make tetrominoe-style shapes.

As you play the game throws new colours into the mix. You can only match blocks of the same hue, so there's a lot of juggling to get things into the right place.

Power-ups are dropped when you've made enough matches. These let you blow things up from a variety of different angles.

- "I did good work last night, Anne," said Gilbert quietly. "Under God, I saved a life. This is the first time I could ever really claim that. In other cases I may have helped; but, Anne, if I had not stayed at Allonby's last night and fought death hand to hand, that woman would have died before morning. I tried an experiment that was certainly never tried in Four Winds before. I doubt if it was ever tried anywhere before outside of a hospital. It was a new thing in Kingsport hospital last winter. I could never have dared try it here if I had not been absolutely certain that there was no other chance. I risked it--and it succeeded. As a result, a good wife and mother is saved for long years of happiness and usefulness. As I drove home this morning, while the sun was rising over the harbor, I thanked God that I had chosen the profession I did. I had fought a good fight and won--think of it, Anne, WON, against the Great Destroyer. It's what I dreamed of doing long ago when we talked together of what we wanted to do in life. That dream of mine came true this morning."
-
PlatinumGames’ first foray into mobile gaming, World of Demons, has successfully soft launched on the App Store this week in Southeast Asia, as the game prepares for a full launch sometime this summer. PlatinumGames is best known for games like Bayonetta and Nier: Automata.

World of Demons highlights Platinum’s knack for sheer style with a Japanese ink-painting aesthetic reminiscent of Okami (a title designed by a number of Platinum’s founding members). The game, which is being created in partnership with mobile publisher DeNA, looks to be a samurai-inspired hack and slash.

Players will rely on impressive swordplay skills to defeat enemies, but you can also call on Yokai, your own personal monster helpers, to aid in battle with their own special attacks and support abilities.

The soft launch gives players in the Philippines, Singapore, and Malaysia full access to the game (though there are IAPs present). The rest will have to wait later this summer to give World of Demons a spin.
!
