It promised to turn your Android device into a GameBoy, letting you even play cartridges from the GameBoy Color and GameBoy. Turns out Hyperkin wasn't joking but fully intended to release it all along.</p><p>After more than a year without any news about it, it resurfaced at this year's E3 and was even playable. Hyperkin's now targeting a December release but dropped iOS support. That last part is not surprising as iOS' closed nature would make this an impossible task without jailbreaking your device.</p><p>The Smart Boy features the same buttons found on the original GameBoy and is compatible with Android 4.4.4 and up.
